Before the election, the election list is issued by the Election Commission according to the ward number. In it, a list of voters is given in every ward. According to this list, the people whose name appears in the ward, they go to vote in that ward according to their ward number.
What is Voter ID?
Voter ID card is an identity card which is issued by Election Commission of India to Indian Citizen i.e. every Indian citizen.
Voter ID card works as an identity proof or address proof for an Indian citizen. This card is not only useful for voting, there are many government schemes also where it is needed.
When any citizen attains the age of 18 years, then they can apply for Voter ID card. According to the Election Commission of India, every citizen who is eligible to vote makes him a voter ID card. Election is held in India every 5 years.
It is the job of the Election Commission of India that every citizen who has become eligible to vote should reach the voting booth at the time of election to cast his vote.
Because India is a democratic country and is elected here through government elections and without voter ID card, no one can vote in the election.
When a voter goes to the election booth to vote, his name is checked in the voter list.
When there is a debit in the voter list, then only he is sent inside the booth to vote. But if the voter list and voter ID card are not there, then he cannot vote.
Every citizen has the right to vote only once in the election. That is why after voting for your favorite candidate in the booth, fingerprints are given in the booth so that everyone can vote only one vote according to the rule.
